Every year on the Friday following Thanksgiving, we partake in what is known as “Black Friday.” Companies offer amazing deals for one-day and people flock to the malls from far and wide to partake. In 2014 e-commerce businesses that offered “Black Friday deals,” saw in increase of 23% in sales in comparison to the rest of the year.  Comscore—a leading internet technology company that provides digital analytics—stated that e-commerce spending rose 32 percent on Thanksgiving Day, to $1.01 billion and had a 26 percent gain to $1.5 billion on Black Friday. Is your business ready for Friday? Here are 5 tips to help you market your business for “Black Friday”

  1. Create deals that are time sensitive, for example “The first 20 customers will receive 50% off

  2. Start advertising early… If you fail to plan than you plan to fail

  3. Leverage your social media, offer exclusive deals via your social media. This tip will also help you to gauge your social media reach and which social media channel works best for your brand.

  4. Advertise the hours for your “Black Friday Sales,” this will let customers know if you are opening early or closing later.

  5. Add some holiday décor to your store, site or advertising. This will help to keep your customers in the holiday state of mind.
