Email Marketing – Too much information versuses just enough

Finding the perfect balance between too much information versuses just enough is not always an easy task. Emails!  Emails can inspire, engage, or excite your potential customers but also can have adverse effects and deter potential customers from your brand. Creating an effective email marketing campaign will make the difference in gaining a new customers or your email permanently being routed to a spam box. Not every campaign will be successful; however the goal is to learn from your mistakes and building upon the results.

Some helpful tips to create an effective marketing campaign

  1. Don’t Spam

Make your subject line relevant to the topic. The last thing a customer wants to do is open an email to discover they’ve been deceived about the emails content. Also 1 effective email is much better than 50 ineffective email, more is not always better.

  1. Create a Plan

If you don’t plan to succeed, then you plan to fail. Make sure your email is consistent and get to the point. It our fast pace world the last thing customers want to do is ready through paragraphs of information to determine what you want. Use the KISS method Keep It Simple Stupid.

 

  1. Keep it easy on the eyes

Use high resolution pictures and bullet points that clearly identify the message that you’re trying to relay.

 

  1. State your call to action

Don’t leave your readers trying to figure out what you want them to do next.

 

  1. Social Sharing

Embed social sharing icons so your readers can share the email with their friends, colleagues, followers, etc.

 

  1. Review your results

Review your results and make changes accordingly.
